3rd JINSHAN International Training Seminars on Impedance-pH and Wireless pH Capsule Reflux Monitoring Successfully Held in London

We are thrilled to report we had a successful clinical training seminar at Wingate Institute of Neuro-gastroenterology Center for Impedance/pH Reflux, an event host in association with our distribution partner Synmed on March 14th, 2019.

 

More than 70 doctors and specialists from over 50 hospitals and institutions around the world participated in our training seminars in last 2 years. Renowned GERD expert Professor Daniel Sifrim, Dr. Philip Woodland, Dr. Etsuro Yazaki, Ms. Shirely Sonmez and Mr. Anthony Blyth presented the lectures and the hands-on session.

Professor Daniel Sifrim, Director of Gastrointestinal Physiology, Wingate Institute of Neuro-gastroenterology gave a warm welcome to all participants. He then introduced the outline of this course, latest development in GERD diagnosis, the importance of Impedance monitoring and its practice. Dr. Philip Woodland and Dr. Etsuro Yazaki shared their experience with reflux monitoring, diagnosis and treatment of GERD. The faculty showed trainees how to analyze and edit data, conducting report as well as typical and atypical case study.

 

One day prior to the impedance-pH training, we also held a training seminar of the brand new alpHa wireless pH capsule for the first time at Royal London Hospital.

 

Dr. Philip Woodland hosted the training seminar and gave attendees theoretical and practical aspects of wireless pH capsule monitoring. Synmed presented our newest alpHa wireless PH system, used in following observation of two cases by Dr. Woodland. Dr. Woodland showed attendees how to analyze and report from software and answered important clinical question from trainees.

Through lecturing and practice, everyone made substantial improvement in their understanding of GERD, the application of reflux monitoring and how to make accurate reading and diagnosis.
